About Us:
Taking to the cable television "air waves" on January 1, 1997.
TV50 is a community based cable television station
located in Geneseo, Illinois. TV50 can be viewed on Mediacom cable systems in Geneseo and surrounding
areas. TV50 televises local community events, school events, high school
sports and other programs of community interest. It is unique community television at its
most grass-roots level.
TV50 operates essentially as a not-for-profit business, with all sponsorship revenues generated being utilized for equipment and operational expenses. TV50 operates with an all volunteer staff, which represents a highly talented cross section of the Geneseo community.
